Founded by Vadim Mulyarov in 2014, Recast Moto began its journey in Minsk, Belarus. Recently relocating to the bustling city of Warsaw, Poland, this shop has emerged as a formidable player in the European custom bike scene. Despite being an underdog, Recast Moto has proven its mettle with its latest creation—a futuristic masterpiece that turns heads wherever it goes.
The Vision: From Concept to Reality
The concept for this extraordinary build began taking shape as early as 2017. However, it wasn’t until 2022 that Recast Moto’s vision truly materialized. Initially, Vadim and his team aimed to use the popular BMW R nineT as their base. Due to budget constraints, they opted for a more affordable yet equally capable alternative—the 2006 BMW R 1200 ST.
Reimagining the Beemer: Stripping Down and Building Up
After disassembling the R 1200 ST and discarding much of its stock components, the team focused on creating a new cantilever subframe. This subframe extends gracefully from the top of the engine, providing robust support for the breathtaking aluminum bodywork that conceals the frame tubing entirely.
Exquisite Details: Craftsmanship at Its Finest
The rear end features a finned LED taillight assembly integrated into a pointy tail section, a true work of art. Topping the tail unit is a handmade saddle upholstered in luxurious gold-dyed leather, perfectly matching the bike’s elegant livery. The transition from the tail to the fuel tank is seamless, showcasing the team’s attention to detail.
The gas tank is accompanied by bespoke side panels that exude cleanliness and precision. Lower down, a beefy belly pan enhances the bike’s aggressive stance. Additional side covers flank the R 1200 ST’s shock absorber, while the front end boasts a fender and fork cover combo and a minimalist nose fairing positioned above an LED headlight.
Modern Enhancements: Function Meets Style
A swingarm-mounted bracket supports the license plate and a small rear fender. The cockpit area houses a digital aftermarket dash and a replacement handlebar equipped with underslung bar-end mirrors. Although the team left the boxer-twin engine’s internals untouched, they removed the airbox to accommodate custom intakes.
The exhaust system, nearly hidden behind the belly pan, reveals only the rearmost portion of the silencers near the foot pegs. Completing this masterpiece is a ravishing color scheme of white and gold, epitomizing elegance and sophistication.
A Triumph of Custom Engineering
Recast Moto’s reborn R 1200 ST is a testament to the shop’s ingenuity and craftsmanship. This stunning build, with its perfect blend of form and function, solidifies Recast Moto’s place among the elite custom bike builders in Europe. The journey from Minsk to Warsaw has undoubtedly been worth it, culminating in a creation that is nothing short of a motorcycle masterpiece.
